| Feldenkrais lessons consist of a sequence of simple, non-aerobic, verbally-directed movements that evolve into movements of greater range and complexity. The movements are aimed at accessing the nervous system's ability to learn new patterns of movement and refine functioning through its ability of choosing the most efficient movement in the explorations. Each lesson lasts forty-five to sixty minutes and explores a particular function (sitting, walking, standing) in which the individual is asked to be aware of his/her level of movement awareness, to allow themselves to make the movements easier, to sense any patterned discomforts and to learn how to move with ease. ![]() |
![]() Most lessons are done lying on a mat. The lessons provide you with the ability to form new patterns of movement that promote joint and muscle health. Its success for alleviating chronic pain, freeing up long standing restricted movements, helping to correct neurological problems and increasing flexibility is respected around the world.
